Bell & Ross data breach

Luxury watch manufacturer Bell & Ross has notified some of its clients about a data breach. The French company, which is the official watch supplier to the French air force and space programme, circulated emails to its members on 16th February informing them that its website had been subject to unauthorised access two days previously, and personal information had been stolen.

Those affected have potentially lost data including:

  • Full name
  • Email addresses
  • Postal addresses
  • Encrypted passwords

Bell & Ross have stressed that no financial data has been taken, as they do not store payment information.

The exact nature of the cyber-attack has not been disclosed, but the company has stated it is conducting a thorough review of the affected website (, and promised to notify affected members of any significant developments. They have also implemented additional security measures to prevent any further attacks, and the website will be in Maintenance Mode until further notice. Relevant law enforcement authorities have been informed, and Bell & Ross will be working closely with them to ensure the incident is properly addressed.
